Pre-Team Camp

Preteam Gymnastics Camp for members of the 2023/2024 Teams

Updated May 15, 2023 Nb

The Honey Bee, Lady Bugs, and USAGDP Level 2 Team Gymnastics Camp is from July 24 through July 28. Camp is Monday through Thursday from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm, location to be announced as we get closer to that date.

Each day, please arrive on time for camp. We have pre-planned structured activities for each group and follow a rotation schedule, so campers get to experience a variety of gymnastics each day. Also, with our focus on offering a safe, fun, and productive experience, we have a warm-up and stretch at the beginning of camp. Children may be picked up early; simply check out at the service desk.

Please enter through the main entrance and sign in and out each day. Be sure to indicate who is authorized to pick up your gymnast on the sign-in sheet and the best contact number for each day. Parents are always welcome to stay and watch any or all activities from the viewing area or may drop children off.

We will connect your gymnast with her coaches, and she will keep her personal items at the same location each day.

Themes for camp:
Disney and Super Hero on Monday (dressing up is encouraged!)
Tie Dye Tuesday
Wacky Wednesday and Animal Theme
Red, White, and Blue on Thursday
Crazy Day and Performance on Friday

We will take a snack break mid-way through camp each day. Please have your daughter eat breakfast before camp. Gymnasts tend to burn a lot of energy, so please pack a water bottle (or two) and plenty of snacks. Please provide food that does not contain nut products. We have many students in our program who have SEVERE and LIFE-THREATENING allergies. Campers will have access to our refrigerator, freezer, and microwave.

In addition to traditional gymnastics, we have many fun activities planned! Campers will also have team-building activities, learn dances, and get advice from local judges. Please pack personal items each day and on Friday, leggings or athletic pants for the aerial silks rotation at Pines.

Wear – Clean leotard, long hair tied back, bare feet, and jewelry left at home

Please bring:

Water bottle (or two!)

Bag to contain personal items

Plenty of snacks that do not contain nut products

A SpoCANdo attitude 🙂

The charge for the half-day July camp (Xcel Preteams – Honey Bees and Lady Bugs, and USAGDP Level 2) is $199 for the entire week and will be charged to the designated card on file when the gymnast is registered. All participants must register in advance by the communicated deadline. Then, for the half-day July Camp when the gymnast commits to a specific team for the 2023 season (required by August 2), $50 from the total $199 paid for team camp will be applied as a credit to the family’s Spokane Gymnastics account to be used for any services, including tuition.

Camp will be provided for the full week, and gymnasts are invited to attend all of camp. Of course, we understand that there may be schedule conflicts and we will offer flexibility with attendance. Spokane Gymnastics will not pro-rate down camp fees for days or hours missed but will provide Team Open Gym, Saturday Afternoon Camp, or Parents Night Out Camp as make-ups.
