USAGDP Level 2 Preteam Competitions

Current August 29 – Nb

Please designate one person in the family to complete surveys for your gymnast. If you have more than one gymnast, you may make note at the bottom if any of the answers are different (or list both gymnasts if they are on the same team). The survey should only let you complete the survey once and will give you a notification if you attempt to take it again. We will send confirmation of meets. Please refer any questions to team@spokanegymnastics.com. Thank you!

We have listed the entire weekend of when each competition possibly may be. We will communicate to all registered families just as soon as we know the session days and times. Sometimes we do not receive that information from the meet host until weeks or days before a meet. Parents are not to contact a host club of a competition for any reason. We always share information as soon as it is released. Also, sessions do often change until it is posted as final. Please do not make non-refundable travel arrangements until we know the schedule.

Gymnasts are assigned to sessions based on their level or division and age. This varies by each competition, based on how many gymnasts are registered. For example, a gymnast may be in the “Child C” category in one meet, “Junior B” at the next one, and “Child B” at a third meet. All gymnasts competiting at the same level at a meet are equally divided into groups.

Typically there are four sessions each day at a meet, and a gymnast competes in one session, which on average is about 3-4 hours. Awards are directly after the competition, usually in a separate area at the venue.

Spokane Gymnastics coaches typically have gymnasts in multiple sessions at a meet which sometimes overlap; warm-ups begin while awards for the previous session are ongoing.

Also, FYI for new team families:

Spokane Gymnastics does not choose the times of competition; the host gym does based on many factors, including the number of gymnasts competing at a specific level and the availability of judges.

We also do not set the groups of gymnasts or what event we start on. For women’s gymnastics, gymnasts always compete in Olympic order (no matter what event they start on) (Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor).
