Spokane Gymnastics will reopen for Winter Session of classes when the county advances to Phase 2, tentatively February 1, 2021!
Spokane Gymnastics will provide Winter Session of instructional classes when Spokane County advances to Phase 2. Of course, no one has any way to know when that will be, but we anticipate February 1 to be a realistic tentative date. If so, we will utilize our previously established “Flexible Winter Session Plan,” which includes the choice of 8-weeks of Gymnastics, from February 1 – March 27, or a 15-week session, from February 1 – May 15. We will continue to post all relevant updates, plus we have staff available to assist at our main facility, Argonne Village, from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm on weekdays. Also, if you call 315-5433, you typically will reach someone, including weekends and non-business hours.
Options for Gymnastics in January:
Starting January 11, while our county is in Phase 1, we will be able to offer select programs, with extremely limited spots available. Currently, Spokane Gymnastics is limited to one student per 500 square feet (standard occupancy is one person per 36 square feet). When we were open between previous closures, we operated at less than 25% of our facilities capacity; the current mandate limits us to 7% occupancy! We will continue to follow all state-mandates and will not overfill either facility or go over established coach-student ratios, which currently is 6:1.
Private lessons with a Spokane Gymnastics coach – please inquire about details or request to be connected – 315-5433
“Bitty Bee Academy” for children potty-trained through 6-years-old, Thursdays from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm with Coach Kelsie.
Saturday Gymnastics Camps for children potty-trained through 14-years-old. Children learn a progression of basic gymnastics skills with structured lessons on all events, along with games, challenges, and themed activities. All groups are in small pods, taught by knowledgeable, engaged, and encouraging coaches. Previous experience is not required since children are grouped according to age and skill level.
Morning Gymnastics Camp – 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Afternoon Gymnastics Camp – 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Evening Gymnastics Camp – 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm
All students must be pre-registered at least 24 hours in advance and agree to follow all safety guidelines.
We will provide as much opportunity as we safely can accommodate. Besides following the guidelines required by the mandate, for the safety of our students, their families, our coaches, and community, we also will limit ourselves to structured programs that we have previously provided, which have established protocols, and involve exceedingly small groups of participants, in spaced-out pods.
