Angela Galbavy

Angela, a native of Spokane, WA, graduated from North Central High School. Angela brings with her an extensive background in gymnastics with 22 years of coaching experience. She has experience at Spokane YMCA, Spokane Jr. Gymnast Academy (Levels 4 and 5), Lilac City gymnastics Northwest Aerials School of Gymnastics and Dance in Kirkland (Levels 4, 5, and 6 Head Coach), and was Head Coach for High School Gymnastics. Angela was also the owner and operator of A’s Gymnastics from 2003-2009 where she taught all levels and abilities. Additionally, she has experience as a High School District 81 gymnastics judge. As a gymnast and coach, Angela’s favorite event is Vault, but she likes to teach Floor as well. Angela has many years of experience working with children including assisting children in setting and achieving goals in gymnastics and life skills, working with children in special education for School District 81, and being a mother of two. Angela started coaching as a Team Coach at Spokane Gymnastics in 2023. She enjoys working with beginner level competitors (Levels 2 and 3) and intermediate competitors (Levels 4 and 5) the most. Angela describes her coaching style as serious when she needs to be and silly when she gets to be. She is a disciplined but positive coach.  

Outside of Spokane Gymnastics, Angela enjoys music and live concerts, flower gardening, singing, walking her dog, and hiking and camping with her family. A fun fact about Angela is that she LOVES Dave Matthews Band. She has been going to see their concerts for 27 years and has been to several different states to see around 58 shows!
