Beth Doohan
Beth is from Spokane, WA and graduated from Valparaiso University where she studied Youth and Family Education. Growing up, Beth competed in gymnastics up through Level 6 and then in springboard diving in college. Beam was her favorite event. Beth started coaching gymnastics while in High School. She has coached both in the U.S. and in Australia, including coaching trampoline and men’s and women’s gymnastics. Beth has been working with kids since she started coaching gymnastics and while working as a camp counselor in High School. She started coaching at Spokane Gymnastics in 2023 and enjoys working with middle school aged kids. Her favorite event to coach is Floor. Beth describes her coaching style as setting up a variety of drills to help break down skills to help gymnasts improve their current skills and learn new ones.
Beth did 5 years of competition gymnastics, and 20 years of recreational while coaching. Beth values the atmosphere of the gym, and getting to know and support the others in the team. Beths students have continuously described her as supportive, hard-working and kind.
In her free time, Beth enjoys adventuring outside with her kids, baking, and cuddling her dogs whenever she can. A fun fact about her is that she always shares the tip of her banana with the closest dog.
