Holly is originally from Waterloo, IA and graduated from Western International University with a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Sciences. Holly grew up with a love of gymnastics and started classes at the age of 6. She later competed in gymnastics through high school and was team captain. Holly’s favorite event to compete in was Floor. Holly also has an extensive background working with children. She babysat when she was younger, raised three of her own sons, coached at Lilac City Gymnastics, and worked as a Behavioral Aide in several Spokane schools. Holly started coaching at Spokane Gymnastics in 2023 and enjoys working with groups who really want to work hard towards their goals. Her favorite events to teach are Floor and Bars. Holly describes her coaching style as being strong on gymnastics shapes and forms, pursuing perfection of skills, and being encouraging and goofy.
Outside of Spokane Gymnastics, Holly enjoys being with her sons, cooking, gardening, taking nature walks, and doing crafts. Holly also loves animals and when she was 21, she managed the 2nd largest reptile retail pet store in St. Paul, MN where she used to wrangle unruly pythons.
