
Mia Gray
Mia was born and raised in Spokane, WA. In 2019, Mia received her Personal Training and Nutritional Coach Certification through The National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has participated in gymnastics for 12 years, where she competed up to Level 5 in Developmental Gymnastics. She also competed her sophomore year at Shadle Park High School. Mia’s favorite events to perform are Vault and Floor, however her favorite events to coach are Beam and Vault. Mia’s prior experience with kids includes over a year of working as a Child Development Trainer with at risk foster youth in a group home setting. Mia began coaching at Spokane Gymnastics in 2021 and has since become the Instructional Gymnastics Department Leader. Her favorite levels to coach are Levels 1-5 Instructional Gymnastics. Mia describes her teaching style as mindset-focused and encouragement based, instilling independence through body awareness and goal setting, while helping gymnasts find ownership in their own gymnastics.
Outside of Spokane Gymnastics, Mia’s hobbies include writing and performing poetry. She also loves public speaking, in which she competes in contests, and she is currently working on writing her first children’s book. A fun fact about Mia is that she is married to Coach Jamal!
