Sophia Wheatfall

Sophia is originally from San Jose but graduated from Ferris High School and attended Hofstra University in New York studying Biology.

Sophia took gymnastics classes when she was young but spent most of her years playing lacrosse. She played lacrosse through high school and now plays club at college.

Sophia moved back to Spokane in 2023. She has coached at Spokane Gymnastics for several years on summer and holiday breaks. At Spokane Gymnastics Argonne Village, she coached PE for Tiny Tots, Preschool, all instructional levels, camp, special events and also was a Floor Supervisor.

At Spokane Gymnastics Pines, Sophia coached all levels and divisions of team. Her favorite events to coach are Bars and Flat Back Vault. Sophia describes her coaching style as interactive and upbeat without being too demanding. She wants her classes to be both fun and productive for her students where they leave each lesson better than when they arrived.

Sophia loves working with kids, and some of her experience includes being a camp counselor and tutoring kids in school.

In her free time, Sophia enjoys working out, reading, hanging out with family, and listening to music. A fun fact about Sophia is that she lived in Uganda and Mauritius in Africa.
