Xcel Preteams

The Spokane Gymnastics Pre-Team is an introduction to competitive gymnastics, where girls are part of their team for the entire season.

Teams form in summer, and the girls enjoy a special team camp along with various team-building and fundraising activities.

Gymnasts perform two vaults, bar and beam routines, along with a floor routine to instrumental music choreographed by their coaches. They receive individual scores on each event, their all around score, and at competitions with multiple teams, their team score and ranking.

Members of the pre-team compete at all three Gymnastics League Meets at Spokane Gymnastics, which take place in January, February, and March. Pre-team members also have the opportunity to compete at an away meet. The season concludes with a banquet after the final competition, typically in late Spring.
