Marissa is from Spokane Valley and graduated from University High School. She is currently attending Western Washington University’s Distance Program, where she is working toward her Bachelor of Arts in Human Services. Marissa did gymnastics for 7 years while growing up, and uneven bars were always her favorite event. She especially enjoys working with her PETTs and Level 2 Instructional groups; they are both to be rewarding in their own ways. Her favorite event to teach is vault. Marissa describes her teaching style as fun and fast-paced, while still maintaining strong structure, conditioning, and discipline when needed.
In her free time, she loves to read, hike with her dog, and spend time with her loved ones and her kitties. A fun fact about Marissa is that she had spinal surgery at 11 years old and has 2 titanium rods and 18 screws alongside her spinal fusion.
