Sophia is originally from Morgan Hill, CA but she lives in Spangle, WA. She graduated from WSU in 2026 with her Bachelor’s in Genetics and Cell Biology, and a minor in Pre-Genetic Counseling. Sophia has been coaching at Spokane Gymnastics since 2021. She does many jobs at Spokane Gymnastics including coaching, service desk, camp coordinating, and more. Her experience with kids also includes tutoring elementary kids and babysitting. Sophia’s favorite classes to work with are 1&2 Peas and Instructional Gymnastics Levels 2-3. Her favorite events to teach are Beam and, specifically, Level 3 Vault. Sophia describes her coaching style as attentive, enthusiastic, supportive, and engaging with lots of feedback and interaction with students.  

Outside of Spokane Gymnastics, Sophia loves genetics and teaching people about biology. In her free time, she reads, journals, plays sudoku, and spends time with her friends and family. She also loves karaoke, dancing, working out, and getting her ears pierced. Some fun facts about Sophia include that she has 14 piercings, she lived in Uganda and Mauritius for 5 years, and she has traveled around the world.
