Josh is from Bridgeport, CT and started training in parkour in 2005. He began working with kids in 2003 when he taught ballroom dance, and continued when he started teaching parkour at the YMCA in 2006. Josh learned how to coach gymnastics through his parkour teaching experience and has been doing it ever since. He moved from San Diego and joined the Spokane Gymnastics team as the NinjaZone Department Leader in 2026. His favorite ages to work with are 9-11 year olds. Josh’s favorite events to teach are Beam and Vault for gymnastics and Precisions and Vaults for parkour. He describes his coaching style as firm but fair, believing that students should have as much fun as possible in class as long as they are following the rules.
Outside of Spokane Gymnastics, Josh loves playing video games, board games, and card games. Some fun facts about Josh include that he was in the Marine Corps, he has driven across the country three different times, and he used to perform in theater, appearing in over 20 shows ranging from American Idiot to The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Josh’s two cats, Socks and Tiger Lily, are the best cats in the world!
