In 2025 Nadine was diagnosed with invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma lung cancer (which typically affects never-smokers) and has been undergoing treatment. https://spokanegymnastics.com/healthupdate/
Nadine has lived in Spokane since 2006 and now considers it her forever home. She enjoys fitness events, cooking, travel, field trips, “behind the scene” tours, silly costumes, critters large and small, and positively impacting the lives of children.
In addition to horses, mules and 7 nigerian dwarf goats, Nadine receives immense joy from her three pups, Kai (born February 2016), a golden retriever, vizsla, whippet mix, “Oημείο” (Simeío – pronounced Sim-E-0) the wonder Dalmatian, who was born June 2022 and Juniper Sage, a Chocolate Lab, border collie, siberian husky mix, born around November 2024.
Nadine has coached gymnastics for 30 years, although for the first decade, it remained her passion as a “fun, side gig” before she became a manager and then owner of Spokane Gymnastics in 2010.
Along with an incredible team of dedicated coaches, Nadine grew Spokane Gymnastics from a small gym with 125 students and 8 part-time coaches to a large program with 60 coaches serving over 2000 students.
While the challenges of the past four years are beyond what Nadine could have imagined, she is proud of how her crew endured more than just COVID, and rebuilt their program multiple times. Even on the darkest days, the kids have always made it worth it, but true progress has recently been achieved, and it’s finally starting to become fun once again! Having passion and purpose, plus energy and endurance, provided clarity, and Spokane Gymnastics survived and is now thriving.
Nadine is motivated by personal and professional development and is a member of Spokane Valley Toastmasters and also volunteers at SCRAPS. A proud Rotarian, Nadine also serves as a board member of Children FIRST Therapy serving children with special needs, and Greater Spokane Incorporated.
Nadine is most famous for her “Handstands around the World!”
